We are seeking a highly motivated and dynamic postdoctoral researcher to join our team at the Department of Drug Design and Pharmacology, University of Copenhagen. The successful candidate will be part of an ambitious project funded by the Independent Research Fund Denmark, Sapere Aude entitled: "Pleiotropic effects — from drug targets to drug actions".
Job Description
The Postdoctoral Fellow will work under the supervision of Associate Professor Alexander S. Hauser and contribute to unraveling the complex relationship between genetic variations and drug responses. Your primary responsibilities will include molecular pharmacological characterization of G protein-coupled receptor genetic variants in recombinant cell lines, utilizing state-of-the-art assays and technologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and execute experiments to characterize the effects of multiple drugs across diverse genetic variants
- Analyze high-dimensional datasets to generate novel insights into personalized medicine
- Develop and optimize a robust pipeline for efficient characterization of drug effects
Requirements
- PhD in pharmacology, pharmaceutical sciences or related field
- Highly experienced in mammalian cell culture
- Proven track record in assay development and molecular pharmacological characterization of membrane receptors
- Demonstrated ability to independently learn new concepts and solve biological problems
- Excellent English language skills written and spoken
