The Department of Energy Conversion and Storage at Danmarks Tekniske Universitet (DTU) is seeking a highly motivated PhD researcher to join our team. The successful candidate will work on developing novel electrolyte materials for all-solid-state batteries through high-temperature forging of oxide ceramics.
As a PhD researcher, you will be responsible for investigating the effect of dislocation density on ion conductivity and dendrite growth resistance in solid-state battery electrolytes. You will utilize in-situ x-ray tomography and transmission electron microscopy to visualize and understand the underlying mechanisms.
This project offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development of safer and more efficient electrochemical energy storage systems. Our team is collaborative and multidisciplinary, with expertise in materials science, physics, and chemistry.
To succeed in this role, you should have a strong academic background in chemistry, physics, or materials science engineering, with excellent experimental experience in electrochemical energy storage. Experience with field-assisted sintering technology and impedance spectroscopy is highly beneficial.
