Job Title: Structural Engineer - Wind Turbine Design

Vestas Power Solutions is seeking a skilled Structural Engineer to join our team in Aarhus, Denmark. As a key member of our Modularized Nacelle department, you will be responsible for designing and optimizing the next generation of wind turbine structures.

Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop interfaces to other systems, ensuring seamless integration
  • Conduct design analyses, including bolts and welds, fatigue assessments, and reliability calculations
  • Assess design risks and safety concerns
  • Develop and optimize tools used internally to enhance design processes
  • Work closely with experts in other engineering disciplines
  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for all design activities
Requirements:
  • M.Sc. or Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering, Structural Engineering, or related field
  • Minimum of 10 years of combined relevant experience in design and development of dynamic mechanical systems
  • Finite Element Analysis (FEA) proficiency, including Ansys Workbench and APDL scripts
  • Thorough understanding of static and dynamic behavior of mechanical steel structures
  • Systems Engineering experience beneficial
  • Manufacturing experience with welded or bolted solutions and Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) techniques beneficial
