This full-time, three-year fixed-term position is based at the Department of German and Romance Languages, Jens Chr. Skous Vej 4, 8000 Aarhus C, Denmark.
Research Focus
The successful applicant will have a strong research profile in culture, society, and history in the Spanish-speaking world, with expertise in contemporary Spanish and/or Latin American cultural studies. A demonstrated track record of research publications and a commitment to digital research methods will be essential.
Teaching Responsibilities
The assistant professor will be responsible for teaching and supervising students on the department's Bachelor's and Master's degree programmes in Spanish and Spanish American language, literature, and culture. This will include teaching courses such as History, Society, and Culture in Spain; History, Society, and Culture in Latin America; Text and Image; and Media, Identity, and Oral Communication.
Qualifications
Applicants must have a PhD degree or equivalent qualifications in a relevant field. A native or near-native command of Spanish is required, as well as excellent English language skills. Relevant teaching experience, including innovative teaching methods, is also essential.
