Infrastructure Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Infrastructure Specialist to join our team at Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy. As an Infrastructure Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the stability, security, and efficiency of our IT infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities- Manage and maintain Microsoft infrastructure components, including Microsoft SQL, Active Directory, and Group Policy Objects.
- Implement security best practices and perform system hardening to ensure the integrity of our infrastructure.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement IT solutions that support business objectives.
- Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure issues in a timely manner to minimize downtime and disruptions.
- Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies to drive continuous improvement in our infrastructure.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft infrastructure technologies, particularly Microsoft SQL, Active Directory, and Group Policy Objects.
- Knowledge of Linux distributions is a plus, but not required.
- Familiarity with different hypervisors is beneficial.
- General automation mindset with experience in scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell) is preferred.
- Knowledge and interest in security standards such as IEC62443 is considered a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
- Strong commitment to security principles and practices.
- Ability to thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
- Experience working within the Safe Agile framework is a plus.
