About the Position:

Københavns Universitet (KU) is seeking a distinguished Clinical Professor of Internal Medicine: Nephrology with special focus on Chronic Kidney Disease and Mineral Bone Disorder. This externally funded professorship is combined with a consultancy at Copenhagen University Hospital – Herlev and Gentofte, Department of Nephrology in the Capital Region.

Salary:

The appointee will receive a pensionable annual honorarium of 212,087 DKK (based on the 2024 level).

Job Description:

This position involves high-level research, teaching, and leadership responsibilities within the area of Internal Medicine: Nephrology. The main emphasis will be on the applicant's ability to document original scientific work at an international level. Responsibilities include maintaining and developing clinical and epidemiological research, as well as supervising post-docs, PhD students, and scholarship recipients.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Document a high degree of original academic production at an international level.
  • Manage research and other management functions.
  • Provide research-based teaching.
