Job Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated researcher to join our team at the University of Copenhagen. The successful candidate will be working on a PhD project focused on the synthesis and structural characterization of alloy and oxide nanoparticles for electrocatalysis.

About the Project:

The project aims to elucidate the structural changes that take place in materials under operating conditions. This requires a strong emphasis on synthesis and structural analysis using X-ray scattering techniques. In situ synchrotron experiments will be central to the work, and the successful candidate will have the opportunity to develop their skills in data acquisition and high-level analysis.

About Us:

We are a dynamic research group at the University of Copenhagen, focusing on elucidating atomic and nanoscale structure in materials for energy applications. Our team is led by Associate Professor Kirsten M. Ø. Jensen and includes postdocs, PhD students, and MSc and BSc students.

Your Role:

You will be responsible for completing and passing the MSc education, carrying out an independent research project under supervision, completing PhD courses corresponding to approx. 30 ECTS / ½ FTE, participating in active research environments, including a stay at another research institution, preferably abroad, teaching and knowledge dissemination activities, writing scientific papers aimed at high-impact journals, and writing and defending a PhD thesis on the basis of your project.
