Job Title: Digital Editorial Manager

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Digital Editorial Manager to lead the creation of content on Cozymeal's magazine and experience pages. The successful candidate will have a strong background in copywriting, digital content editing, and editorial calendar management.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop Content Strategy: Map and drive the company's content strategy, including its annual content plan. This involves researching industry trends, identifying target audiences, and creating engaging content that resonates with our customers.
  • Create Editorial Calendar: Create and maintain an editorial calendar to ensure timely execution of content deliverables. This includes assigning tasks to team members, tracking progress, and making adjustments as needed.
  • Set Publication Standards: Establish publication standards, including goals and expectations for the content team. This involves defining quality metrics, ensuring consistency in formatting and style, and promoting collaboration among team members.
  • Edit and Publish Content: Assist in assigning, editing, and creating content for Cozymeal's magazine. This includes reviewing article drafts, sourcing images, and providing feedback to writers.
  • Schedule Articles: Build and schedule articles using Cozymeal's custom blog CMS. This involves selecting optimal publishing dates, setting metadata, and monitoring analytics to track performance.
  • Review and Publish Content: Review and publish new content (visual and written) on Cozymeal's website for cooking classes, food tours, and other experiences. This involves checking accuracy, grammar, and formatting before making it live.
  • Curate Visual Content: Help source, curate, and oversee Cozymeal's image gallery and visual content. This involves selecting high-quality images, writing captions, and optimizing them for web use.
  • Mentor Team Members: Mentor Digital Content Editors and other team members on digital content editing best practices. This includes sharing expertise, providing constructive feedback, and supporting professional development.
  • Onboard New Writers: Manage the onboarding process for new writers, ensuring a smooth transition into the company. This involves welcoming new talent, assigning tasks, and providing guidance on our content style and tone.
