About the Position

\

We are seeking a highly skilled Postdoc to join our team at the Department of Chemistry, Københavns Universitet (KU). As a Postdoc, you will be working on cutting-edge research projects within materials chemistry with a strong focus on the use of X-ray scattering methods for characterization of atomic structure.

\

You will be responsible for conducting independent and creative research, publishing your findings in top-tier journals, and collaborating with colleagues to advance the field of materials chemistry. You will also have the opportunity to teach and mentor students, further developing your skills as a researcher and educator.

Responsibilities

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • \
  • Conducting original research in materials chemistry with a focus on X-ray scattering methods\
  • Publishing research findings in top-tier journals\
  • Collaborating with colleagues to advance the field of materials chemistry\
  • Taught and mentoring students\
  • Developing and maintaining a strong research program\
  • Maintaining a clean and organized laboratory environment\
  • Participating in departmental and university-wide meetings and events\

Requirements

\

To be considered for this position, you must have a PhD degree in experimental chemistry, nanoscience, physics, or a similar field with experience in material synthesis. Extensive experience in synchrotron, neutron, or XFEL experiments is required, including experience in advanced modelling of scattering or spectroscopy data.

\

Experience with especially total scattering and Pair Distribution Function analysis will be considered an advantage. The candidate should be able to conduct independent and creative research, demonstrate scientific productivity, and show good inter-personal and communication skills.
