At Aarhus University, we invite applications for a full professorship in childhood studies and educational anthropology. As part of the Department of Educational Anthropology and Educational Psychology, you will contribute to consolidating our academic environment.

Your responsibilities will include research into children's everyday lives, teaching, supervising, and participating in departmental activities. You are expected to play a leading role in developing research and teaching activities within social and cultural childhood studies and educational anthropology.

To be successful in this position, you must have a strong profile and track record in social and cultural childhood studies combined with an ethnographic empirical research approach. You will be responsible for confirming and further developing the department's international profile in childhood studies through international collaboration, publishing, and external funding.

You are expected to document original scientific production at the highest international level and significant scholarly contributions to theoretical, methodological, and thematic developments within the field of childhood studies. Your visions for future developments in the field should also be documented, as well as your solid track record in research leadership, research funding, and international research cooperation.

The selected applicant will take part in the daily activities of the department, including research and teaching activities, communities, management, and organisational boards. You are expected to teach on the department's Master's and PhD degree programmes and develop and rethink programmes within the field of educational anthropology.

We are looking for a talented individual who can contribute to knowledge exchange and public debate, engage in partnerships, and secure external research funding. You should document prior experience and creativity in the field of knowledge exchange.

Required qualifications include academic publications at the highest international level, active participation in international research collaboration, experience in research organisation, and strong teaching competences. Commitment to teaching development, supervision of student projects, talent development, research management, and the development of PhD courses is also essential.
