Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our team as a Design Verification Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that electrical installations for offshore substations and wind turbine generators meet the required design specifications.
About the Role
This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills. As a Design Verification Specialist, you will work closely with our multidisciplinary team to ensure that all aspects of the design verification process are completed to a high standard.
Your Responsibilities
- Cover all steps in the certification process from review of early designs to design verification, fabrication surveillance, commissioning, and periodic inspection of installations in operation
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- An Electrical Engineering degree (or equivalent)
- 4-5 years of relevant professional experience from a similar position, preferably from the consulting or engineering sector: oil & gas or renewable energy
- Generalist with broad experience in electrical engineering (power engineering or similar) with passion to dive into detailed design aspects of equipment and systems used in high- and low-voltage installations at the same time
- Knowledge of relevant IEC standards and ideally the essential criteria concerning power system design and rating of components including but not limited to transformers, switchgear, cables, and battery systems
- Experience with manufacturing survey, FAT and offshore commissioning will be seen as positive
- Strong English skills (written and spoken)
About You
We are looking for someone who is a team player with strong communication skills, able to keep a positive and proactive attitude, with a solution-oriented, pragmatic, and flexible mindset. It is crucial to have strong customer centricity and ability to convey the added value of DNV services. Also, the ability to work in depth with assignments and having a good balance between detail and overview is a key to succeed in this role.
Salary Range: €80,000 - €110,000 per annum
