Job DescriptionWe are seeking an experienced R&D Project Manager to join our Module Management team, responsible for the technical and process-driven coordination, planning, and alignment of projects within the Loads and Control System Module for new technologies and new wind turbine product development.
Duties and Responsibilities- Support scoping activities while aligning with both internal and external stakeholders to execute the project within the defined requirements (e.g., planning, budget, time, functionality).
- Ensure business success, customer satisfaction, and professional stakeholder management.
- Ensure timely decisions on open issues, escalating where necessary.
- Support Team Leads and Department Heads with resourcing activities.
- Lead project team members to cooperation and promote efficient ways of working.
- Manage a network of technical specialists to realize customer-specific components, systems, or solutions.
- Coordinate engineering tasks and cooperate with involved regional engineering units, including their interfaces.
- Perform technical and project risk management.
- Manage technical risks & opportunities, interfaces, alignment, and project governance activities.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A MSc degree in Wind Energy, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or similar.
- A strong understanding with a minimum of 3 years' experience in either Turbine Control Systems and/or Aeroelastic Load Simulations, Design, and Validation. Knowledge of Turbine Load Certification would be beneficial.
- An ability to solve difficult challenges through innovation, dedication, and cooperation with a global team.
- A holistic mindset and strong communication skills, maintaining solid oversight of projects.
- A drive to make a difference for future wind turbine design and operational capabilities.
- A willingness and ability to travel internationally on an occasional basis.
