Job Summary
The Department of Mathematical Sciences at Aalborg University seeks a talented Associate Professor in Statistics to contribute to methodological research and teaching.
About the RoleAs an Associate Professor, you will be part of a dynamic team conducting research in various mathematical disciplines. You will contribute to:
- Methodological research in statistics, with expertise in areas such as computational statistics, econometrics, or continuous time stochastic processes.
- Cross-disciplinary collaborative research with an applied and/or strategic perspective.
- Teaching in mathematics programmes, including mathematics/statistics, mathematics-economics, and mathematics-technology.
- Research and Development: Conduct methodological research in statistics, collaborate with colleagues on cross-disciplinary projects, and engage in acquiring external funding for research.
- Teaching and Education: Teach mathematics and statistics courses at undergraduate and graduate levels, develop and implement new curricula, and supervise students.
- Servicing the Department: Participate in departmental service activities, contribute to academic development, and foster collaboration with other departments.
Requirements: A PhD degree in mathematical statistics or a related area, excellent research record, experience in teaching and pedagogical training, and a strategy for future research and funding activities.
