The Biomimetics, Biocarriers, and Bioimplants Group (The 3Bs) at the Technical University of Denmark (DTU) is a multidisciplinary research team focused on developing innovative solutions for healthcare challenges. Our expertise spans materials science, organic/polymer chemistry, molecular biology, and cell engineering.

Research Focus

We aim to develop novel biomaterials and nanosystems for therapeutic applications, including the creation of synthetic red blood cells. Our research encompasses the design, synthesis, characterization, and evaluation of these systems using in vitro and in vivo models.

Job Description

  • Design and conduct in vivo studies to evaluate the efficacy and safety of hemoglobin-based oxygen carriers
  • Optimize nanoparticle fabrication techniques for efficient oxygen transport
  • Analyze biochemical and histological data to understand the biological effects of hemoglobin-loaded nanoparticles
  • Collaborate with the research team to design and implement experiments

Requirements

  • PhD in Biology, Medicine, Veterinary Medicine, or Pharmaceutical Sciences
  • FELASA certification
  • Strong publication record in the field of nanomedicine and drug delivery
