Copenhagen, Copenhagen, Denmark BØRNEfonden Full time

About Us

BØRNEfonden is one of Denmark's largest privately funded child rights organisations. We are a part of Plan International and we operate in over 70 countries. Our mission is to ensure the rights of children and young people in the most vulnerable and fragile areas of the world with a special focus on girls and young women, who are particularly affected by inequality and poverty.

We work closely with local partners and communities to develop and implement programs that promote child rights, education, and economic empowerment. Our programs are funded by both private foundations and institutional funds, focusing on three key areas: 'Healthy, Safe & Playful Early Childhoods', 'Young People Driving Change', and 'Building Resilience & Responding to Emergencies'.

As a member of our Grants team, you will be responsible for managing your own portfolio of grants and projects. You will help to ensure that we are in full compliance with the requirements set by our donors. Your tasks will include financial follow-up of our projects and grants, advising and guiding projects in relation to donor requirements and guidelines, reporting to our donors according to guidelines, and carrying out financial monitoring of our projects in different countries.

About You

To succeed in this role, you will need to have an analytical approach to challenging issues, convey complexity in a simple and understandable way, and thrive with a wide range of business partners. You will also need to form good working relationships with colleagues from other disciplines and cultures. Your approach to problem-solving should be characterized by high professionalism and accuracy, and you should have experience of independently prioritizing your tasks and structuring your working day.

You do not need to have experience from the NGO sector - you can learn this from us. We are looking for someone with an interest and flair for the digital field, a relevant higher education within economics, and fluent English skills. You should also be able to travel abroad 3-4 times a year (duration approx. 5-7 days) and speak French as a plus due to our projects in West Africa.
