Principal Research Scientist for AI-Driven Biologics Discovery

The Position
- Lead and conduct research in AI data generation for biologics discovery, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to drive innovation and progress.
- Evaluate new technologies and recommend the acquisition and application of cutting-edge protein and peptide engineering or manufacturing technologies.
- Stay current with the latest advancements in molecular biology, NGS, protein expression and purification, solid-phase peptide synthesis, and biologics assay development.
- Contribute to the design and implementation of protein and peptide product development processes across diverse scientific disciplines in the early research labs.
- Analyze technical data from experiments and test runs to draw conclusions, and document and communicate results with confidence.
Qualifications
- A wet lab PhD in molecular biology, chemistry, biomedical research or similar, with +7 years of experience, preferably in pharma or biotech.
- Extensive hands-on experience in recombinant protein production or peptide synthesis.
- Experience in biologics assay development.

About the Department
You'll be joining our Digital Science & Innovation team, which supports the digital journey across all our therapy areas in Research & Early Development (R&ED). We work in multidisciplinary teams and collaborate with all areas across R&ED to leverage scientific knowledge, partner with our IT organization to ensure access to the most advanced technology platforms and tools, and engage in drug development projects across the value chain.
