Senior Research Scientist in Plant Ecology

Terms of Employment
As a PhD fellow, you will be employed full-time for a maximum of 3 years in the regular programme. Employment is conditional upon your successful enrolment as a PhD student at the PhD School at the Faculty of SCIENCE, University of Copenhagen, requiring submission and acceptance of an application for the specific project formulated by the applicant.
The terms of employment and salary are in accordance with the agreement between the Ministry of Finance and The Danish Confederation of Professional Associations on Academics in the State (AC). The position is covered by the Protocol on Job Structure.
Responsibilities and Tasks
As a PhD fellow, you will be responsible for:
- Carrying out an independent research project under supervision.
- Completing PhD courses corresponding to approximately 30 ECTS/1⁄2 FTE.
- Participating in active research environments, including a stay at another research institution, preferably abroad.
- Engaging in teaching and knowledge dissemination activities.
- Writing scientific papers aimed at high-impact journals.
- Writing and defending a PhD thesis based on your project.
We Are Looking for the Following Qualifications:
To be considered for this position, you must have:
- Professional qualifications relevant to the PhD project.
- Relevant publications, if any.
- Relevant work experience.
- Other relevant professional activities.
- A curious mind-set with a strong interest in plant sciences and/or climate change.
- Knowledge of experiment design and at least basic skills in R/Matlab/Python to analyze data.
- Good written and oral English skills.
