Billund, Denmark LEGO Gruppe Full time

Company Overview

The LEGO Gruppe is a world-renowned leader in creative play, with a rich heritage of bringing innovative toys to market. Our company is built on the principles of imagination, creativity, and fun.

We are a diverse group of professionals who share a passion for making a difference in the lives of children around the world. Our products are designed to inspire young minds, foster creativity, and encourage learning through play.

As a Product Owner at the LEGO Gruppe, you will be part of a dynamic team that is shaping the future of interactive play. You will have the opportunity to work with talented individuals from various disciplines, including product design, engineering, quality assurance, and more.

Job Description

As an Interactive Play Specialist, you will be responsible for integrating interactive play into our portfolio of products. This involves converting exciting opportunities into engaging products that kids will love for years to come.

You will be the advocate for kids' and parents' needs, balancing their play and development to create long-lasting value for both families and our company. You will use your experience in navigating between functional areas of product design, business, engineering, quality, supply chain, and operations to achieve outstanding commercial objectives.

Core Responsibilities

  • You will be responsible for guiding the team to observe kids to create fun, surprising, and meaningful play experiences that benefit kids as they learn through play.
  • You will quickly and deeply build an understanding of the DNA of existing Product lines, their business and creative ambitions, and how interactivity can play a significant part in delivering these.
  • You will hold the Interactive Vision, using it at every opportunity to guide the team, set, and uphold quality standards, making sophisticated trade-off decisions to bring that vision into reality.
  • You will empower and stimulate your team to create quick prototypes to test and validate ideas as early as possible, preferring progress over perfection.
  • You will integrate and trade-off, listening to a wide variety of specialist functions, helping them see the big picture and uniting them to one common cause.
  • You will develop effectively using data, distilling it to its essence, finding patterns to forecast forwards, and inspiring development of tomorrow.
  • You will challenge assumptions in a proactive and constructive manner, daring to ask questions and voice unpopular opinions if it's for the good of the result.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Shipped a minimum of one digital or physical consumer product in the role of Product Owner.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced agile environment, creating and prioritizing user stories and EPICS, being responsible for mid-long term product roadmaps.
  • Proven ability to use a deep understanding of the Product Vision to drive a team, set, and uphold quality standards, making complex trade-off decisions that make that vision a reality.
  • Experience analyzing and prioritizing tasks based on user needs, through direct observation, product testing, collecting and analyzing telemetry data, and feedback.
  • Skills visualizing project progress to motivate the development team and increase transparency to user groups.
  • Experience managing budgets and communicating status and risk to senior partners.
  • Decision-making over outsourcing strategy, especially when to build or buy external solutions, is an advantage.

Benefits

  • Family Care Leave - We offer enhanced paid leave options for those important times.
  • Insurances - All colleagues are covered by our life and disability insurance which provides protection and peace of mind.
