About the Role

As a Junior IT Security Specialist at Ørsted, you will play a critical role in protecting our company's assets from security-related incidents. You will be part of our Cyber Defence Centre IT Product Line, where you will work closely with your colleagues to provide triage, security analyses, and investigation support to our business units across IT and OT environments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Improving our security posture to support the business in securing critical infrastructure in multiple countries against advanced threat actors.
  • Implementing, optimizing, and maintaining security tools and technologies to safeguard our infrastructure, applications, and data.
  • Assisting in monitoring and analyzing network traffic to detect and mitigate potential threats.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate security best practices into the deployment processes and operation.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or master's degree or higher in IT or computer science by November 2024.
  • Interest in security and the technologies in the area, e.g., cloud, OT, endpoint protection, and prior experience in cybersecurity tools operations.
  • Basic knowledge of cybersecurity principles, threats, and network concepts.
  • Prioritizing efficiency in your attitude to work tasks and enjoying sharing your knowledge with colleagues to develop talents, and being eager to learn and develop yourself.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities to identify and resolve security issues.
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
