This role is at the heart of our technology, defining the future of our products. As an Optical System Development Specialist, you'll oversee the imaging system, ensuring the optical signal is detectable and our scanners are produced efficiently.
Your Responsibilities:
- Develop and test project ideas with optical prototypes.
- Create optical systems models using Optics Studio (Zemax) and inform design decisions.
- Collaborate with software and electronics engineers on new calibration and testing routines.
- Analyze tolerance with mechanical engineers.
- Define optical specifications and support procurement.
- Present technical information to multidisciplinary teams.
- Transfer production solutions aligned with production strategy.
Your Profile:
To thrive in this role, an ideal candidate will have experience working on high-tech products, complex processes, and possess most of the following qualifications:
- A M.Sc. or Ph.D. degree in physics, optical engineering, or a similar field, or equivalent experience.
- Comprehensive analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Hands-on experience with optical system alignment.
- Knowledge of data processing and analysis, software tools like Python.
- Familiarity with electronics, mechanics, or software design.
