Key Role in Process and Safety Engineering for International Biogas Plants

As a Senior Engineer, Electrical, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring safety in the design of international biogas plants. You will be part of a core team of highly skilled experts and specialists who provide advisory support across the organization.

Responsibilities and Tasks

As part of the Process & Safety Engineering department, you will be responsible for:

  • Interpreting and implementing requirements according to Technical Assurance and Design for Safety.
  • Developing design engineering manuals.
  • Providing technical input into ongoing projects.
  • Engineering development and optimization of standardized products.
  • Liaising with external suppliers to align expectations and compliance as well as vetting new products and technologies.
  • Quality assurance and milestone reviews.
  • Advising on technical solutions that may differ from standardized products.
  • Leading various internal projects within electrical/automation.

This position is a specialist role with a focus on supporting the design and development of plant design and providing technical solutions for ongoing development projects as well as operational challenges.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • An educational background as an engineer, automation technician, marine engineer, or equivalent.
  • Many years of experience in a similar position in the oil, gas, energy, or process industry.
  • A logical thinker with a structured approach to problem-solving.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of and experience with some of the following areas:
    • Machine and process electrical installations.
    • Biogas, gas, oil or related process/energy plants.
    • Technical Assurance/Design for Safety.
    • Risk Assessment, HAZID/HAZOP.
    • PLC and SCADA control systems (Rockwell, Siemens and/or IGSS).
    • ATEX.
    • SIL.
    • Alarm management and development of alarm philosophy.
