Volatile Organic Compound Specialist
We invite applications for a postdoctoral position in the field of volatile organic compound (VOC) studies. The successful candidate will join our research group at the University of Copenhagen's Center for Volatile Interactions and contribute to ongoing projects related to VOC production and emission in marine environments.
Your primary responsibility will be to investigate the role of bacterioplankton and phytoplankton interactions in shaping VOC profiles in marine ecosystems. You will design and conduct experiments, collect and analyze data, and collaborate with colleagues to advance our understanding of these complex systems.
To be successful in this role, you will require a strong background in marine microbial ecology, excellent analytical skills, and experience with molecular community analyses and VOC measurements using techniques such as GC-MS or PTR-MS. Strong communication and collaboration skills are also essential, as you will be working closely with our research team and contributing to publications.
The position offers a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic and international research environment, with access to state-of-the-art instrumentation and opportunities for professional development. If you are enthusiastic about advancing our understanding of marine ecosystems and are eager to contribute to a cutting-edge research team, we encourage you to apply.
