Medieval Codicology Research Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Medieval Codicology Research Assistant. The successful candidate will work within an interdisciplinary research team, supporting the CODICUM project's bio-codicology research stream.
\Key Responsibilities:
- Parchment Sample Management: Collaborating with researchers to maintain accurate records of parchment samples and their associated metadata.
- Automated Laboratory Operations: Assisting in the setup, operation, and maintenance of liquid handling robots for high-throughput sample preparation and analysis.
- Data Management: Contributing to the development and implementation of data management protocols to ensure the long-term preservation and accessibility of research data.
Essential Qualifications:
- A BSc or MSc degree in a relevant field (e.g., biology, biochemistry, molecular biology, archaeology, or related fields).
- Experience working with historical materials, particularly medieval manuscripts.
- Demonstrated organizational and time management skills.
We offer a full-time position with a fixed-term contract for 2 years, offering stability and an opportunity to make a significant contribution to the field.
