We are collaborating with a global pharmaceutical manufacturing company to find an automation expert with expertise in ABB DCS systems (800xA). This role focuses on configuring, troubleshooting, and commissioning critical projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Commissioning & Configuration: Lead the commissioning process for ABB 800xA DCS systems, ensuring proper configuration and integration into existing manufacturing operations.
  • System Troubleshooting & Optimisation: Troubleshoot, test, and optimize DCS systems to ensure smooth operations during the commissioning phase.
  • Automation & Batch Records: Manage automation processes related to batch records, ensuring compliance with pharmaceutical manufacturing standards.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, engineers, and quality assurance personnel to ensure project timelines and specifications are met.
  • Documentation & Compliance: Maintain detailed documentation of system configurations and commissioning activities in compliance with GMP and regulatory requirements.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • ABB 800xA Expertise: Proven hands-on experience working with ABB 800xA DCS systems, especially during commissioning phases.
  • DCS Systems Knowledge: Strong background in troubleshooting and configuring Distributed Control Systems (DCS).
  • Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Experience: Familiarity with cGMP, batch processes, and regulatory compliance within the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Automation & Batch Records: Experience with automation systems and batch records, including configuration and optimization.
  • Recipe Work (Preferred): Any experience with recipe management in batch manufacturing would be a significant advantage.
