Aarhus University seeks a highly skilled professional to fill the role of Associate Professor in Lifelong Learning and Danish National Coordinator for the Nordic Network for Lifelong Learning.
Job DescriptionThe selected candidate will be responsible for teaching and research initiatives in the field of lifelong learning, contributing to the development of new degree programs, and engaging in knowledge exchange with various stakeholders. They will also serve as the Danish national coordinator for the Nordic Network for Lifelong Learning, fostering partnerships and collaborations across the education sector, civil society, and labor market actors in Denmark and the Nordic countries.
Key Responsibilities- Contribute to research initiatives in lifelong learning and develop new research projects with internal and external partners
- Teach and supervise students at the Master's degree program in adult learning and competence development
- Develop new degree programs by creating new courses within the field of lifelong learning
- Foster partnerships and collaborations across the education sector, civil society, and labor market actors in Denmark and the Nordic countries
- PhD or equivalent academic qualifications in education, sociology, anthropology, psychology, history, political science, organization studies, or working life studies
- Research and teaching qualifications equivalent to those acquired through an associate professorship
- Experience with cooperative and interdisciplinary research and development projects
- Deep understanding of the Danish field of lifelong learning
- Extended network among organizations, learning arenas, and educational institutions in the Danish and Nordic field of lifelong learning
