Modelling and Analysis of Electric Vehicle Charging Infrastructure

The project involves 21 partners from 11 countries and will create a simulation environment capable of predicting the most convenient location to place the electric vehicle (EV) charging stations and optimizing both the usage of the power grid resources and the charging stations located in urban and rural areas.

Responsibilities
  • Develop a simulation environment to predict the most convenient location to place EV charging stations
  • Optimize the usage of power grid resources and charging stations located in urban and rural areas
  • Investigate innovative charging technologies that can be combined with renewable energy sources and provide flexibility to the power system

You will be affiliated with the Section on E-mobility and Prosumer Integration in the Division of Power and Energy Systems. Collaboration with neighboring sections working on distributed energy systems, hybrid power plants, smart grids, power system flexibility, and market design and operation is encouraged.
