The Legal, Regulatory Affairs, Ethics & Compliance, and Secretariat Function (LRECS) focuses on providing a diverse and inclusive environment with a strong emphasis on wellbeing and delivering opportunities for growth and personal development. As a Financial Crime Due Diligence Manager, you'll be part of our expanding Group Financial Crime team, assisting with building, enhancing and maintaining the Centrica Group Financial Crime program.

You will lead the 'know your customer' (KYC) checks on new and existing third parties, carrying out periodic reviews consistent with Centrica's procedures and ensuring accurate records are kept and maintained. Location-wise, we work flexibly in line with our Flexible First working arrangements. However, the successful candidate will need to be comfortable commuting to our London office on a regular basis and on occasion to our Windsor office.

Your key responsibilities will include leading on protecting Centrica from risks arising from money laundering & terrorist financing, sanctions, bribery & corruption, fraud and tax evasion, both in the UK-facing and foreign portions of the business. You'll propose, implement and maintain Centrica Energy wide processes and policies and provide strategic-level guidance and technical advice on financial crime issues across the business.

As required, you'll brief on financial crime to our Board and Executive Committee. Support will also be provided to our Senior Due Diligence Manager with line management responsibilities, including day-to-day task management as well as broader mentorship, skill development, and succession planning.

Furthermore, you'll own and manage the Centrica Energy Due Diligence Control Framework, including the Financial Crime Minimum Standard and all supporting guidance and documents. You'll engage with key stakeholders across Centrica to set risk appetites, embed the framework, and ensure their risks and controls continue to be managed in line with agreed risk appetite for both emerging and longstanding risks.

We're seeking a highly skilled compliance and risk management specialist with extensive experience in due diligence and KYC to standards expected by the FCA. Ideally, this role requires a strategic thinker with a strong understanding of operating in a regulated environment. Commodity trading experience in the energy sector would be advantageous.

We value collaboration, influencing skills, and gravitas when working with senior stakeholders. A degree or equivalent professional experience is required, along with ICA Diploma or ACAMS qualifications preferred.
