The Natural History Museum Denmark seeks a highly skilled and experienced Molecular Biology Laboratory Operations Manager to join its team. As part of the Faculty of Science at the University of Copenhagen, we are dedicated to empowering citizens to connect with nature through our research and educational initiatives.

We are currently building a new National Facility for Museomics, which will serve as a hub for advanced molecular biology research and education. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in establishing and managing this facility, ensuring seamless day-to-day operations, and providing technical support to researchers and users.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in laboratory management, including procurement, equipment maintenance, and staff supervision. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential, as they will interact closely with researchers, students, and other stakeholders.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and organized individual to lead our laboratory operations and contribute to the success of our research programs. Key responsibilities include:

  1. Establishing and maintaining efficient laboratory workflows and processes.
  2. Managing laboratory resources, including equipment, supplies, and personnel.
  3. Providing technical guidance and training to laboratory users.
  4. Ensuring compliance with safety protocols and regulations.
Requirements and Qualifications

To be considered for this position, candidates must possess:

  • A Master's degree or higher in a relevant field (e.g., Natural Sciences, Biomedical Sciences).
  • At least three years of experience in laboratory management or a related field.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
