About the Position

This is an exciting opportunity to join our faculty at the Department of Environmental and Resource Engineering, Danmarks Tekniske Universitet (DTU). We are seeking an exceptional researcher and educator to contribute to our research and education efforts in the area of water acquisition and management.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in data acquisition and hydrological processes, with a focus on developing innovative solutions for water management in urban and peri-urban areas.

Responsibilities

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and implementing research projects focused on water acquisition and management
  • Teaching and supervising students at both undergraduate and graduate levels
  • Contributing to departmental research and funding acquisition efforts
  • Collaborating with colleagues from other sections in the department and beyond

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A PhD degree in environmental engineering, electrical engineering, quantitative hydrology, earth sciences, or data science
  • Experience in teaching and research, with a focus on water monitoring and management
  • Strong skills in programming languages such as Python, R, or MATLAB, and experience with machine learning algorithms and statistical analysis
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
