Pitch Care Technician

As a Pitch Care Technician at Sportsfields, you will play a vital role in maintaining the stadium's hybrid grass pitches to the highest standards. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Maintaining the stadium's playing surfaces through regular mowing, line marking, strimming, divoting, aeration, and other forms of pitch repair and preparation.
- Carrying out applications such as fertilizing and spraying safely, effectively, and conforming to all legislations.
- Liaising with the Head Groundsman and the rest of the team on a daily basis.
- Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of the industry and implementing best practices.
- Cleaning and maintaining machinery, hand tools, and shed areas to high standards of cleanliness and housekeeping.
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in grounds maintenance or a related field.
- Excellent time keeping and organizational skills.
- Able to work in a team and use your own initiative.
- Flexible approach to tasks and willing to work unsociable hours, including evenings and weekends.
- Full driving licence or ability to travel various locations due to the demands of the role.
