Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced IT Application Manager to join our IT department. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the implementation, governance, and support of core applications for Svendborg Brakes.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Application Portfolio Management
  • Manage an application portfolio and associated projects to ensure effective analysis, planning, organization, and leadership.
Application Optimization and Improvement
  • Identify opportunities for application optimization, redesign, or process improvement, focusing on collaboration systems and internal tools.
Application Administrative Support
  • Provide application administrative support across applications as needed.
Strategic Vision and Roadmapping
  • Partner with business stakeholders, vendors, and IT management to provide a strategic vision for new and supported applications and create system roadmaps and business processes.
Project Planning and Execution
  • Address the various needs, concerns, expectations of stakeholder groups in planning and executing projects, meeting project requirements, and creating project deliverables.
Constraint Management
  • Balancing competing project constraints, including scope, quality, schedule, budget, resources, and risks, to accommodate the needs of each user/customer.
Technical Culture and Excellence
  • Build a strong technical culture around business systems that emphasizes technical excellence, rapid iteration, strong security, and frictionless user experiences.
Application Maintenance and Outsourcing
  • Manage application maintenance outsourcing and software contract agreements, implementing and monitoring standards around scope management, financial management, service level agreements (SLA), ensuring compliance to mitigate risk, increase service/business impact, and reduce costs.

Requirements

  1. Experience
  • 4+ years of experience in an Applications Manager or similar role.
Technical Skills
  • Deep hands-on experience with application implementations, enhancements, and integrations.
  • Experience managing ticketing, CRM, ERP systems (Axapta) is an advantage.
Business Acumen
  • Proven functional experience with business units, including Employee Communications, Engineering, IT.
Communication and Interpersonal Skills
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain system changes and functionality to all employees.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Organizational and Time Management Skills
  • Experience setting up ongoing procedures for collection and review of project statuses and goals.

We are looking for a structured mindset and documentation skills, good interpersonal skills, and a cheerful attitude. You should have a great overview and ability to set actions into motion with respect for time schedules and specifications.
