PhD Position in Advanced Materials Modeling

**Job Responsibilities**
As a PhD researcher in computational materials design, your main responsibilities will be:
- Performing atomistic simulations of phosphosulfide semiconductors using density functional theory and other computational methods
- Applying open-source artificial intelligence methods for different materials design tasks, such as generating new materials, predicting their properties, and identifying complex trends
- Developing a two-way collaboration with an experimental PhD student, combining experimental and computational data to develop models for establishing composition-structure-property-performance relationships for phosphosulfides
- Expanding our current data infrastructure capabilities for batch analysis, visualization, and management of high-throughput computational data based on the open-source NOMAD database model
**Qualifications**
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Materials Science, Physics, Chemistry, Engineering)
- Master's degree in a relevant field (Materials Science, Physics, Chemistry, Engineering)
- Good understanding of materials science and computational methods
- Strong programming skills (Python is essential, Linux and Git version control are desirable)
