**Job Responsibilities**

As a PhD researcher in computational materials design, your main responsibilities will be:

  • Performing atomistic simulations of phosphosulfide semiconductors using density functional theory and other computational methods
  • Applying open-source artificial intelligence methods for different materials design tasks, such as generating new materials, predicting their properties, and identifying complex trends
  • Developing a two-way collaboration with an experimental PhD student, combining experimental and computational data to develop models for establishing composition-structure-property-performance relationships for phosphosulfides
  • Expanding our current data infrastructure capabilities for batch analysis, visualization, and management of high-throughput computational data based on the open-source NOMAD database model

**Qualifications**

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Materials Science, Physics, Chemistry, Engineering)
  • Master's degree in a relevant field (Materials Science, Physics, Chemistry, Engineering)
  • Good understanding of materials science and computational methods
  • Strong programming skills (Python is essential, Linux and Git version control are desirable)
