About the Job

This position is focused on research within Building Energy Systems and Indoor Environment. We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team at the Faculty of Engineering and Science, Department of the Built Environment.

The successful candidate will be responsible for performing precise measurements of ventilation parameters, writing scientific reports, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and maintaining laboratory equipment.

The position is open for appointment from 15 April 2025 or soon hereafter for three months. Appointment to Research Assistant may be for a period of up to three years. Reappointment may be made, but a Research Assistant can only be appointed to Research Assistant for a maximum period of three years.

The required level of qualifications is at master level. We are looking for a candidate with a strong attention to detail and accuracy, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities
  1. Perform precise measurements of ventilation parameters
  2. Write scientific reports
  3. Ensure compliance with safety standards
  4. Maintain laboratory equipment

The application must contain the following:

  • Cover Letter (a motivated text wherein the reasons for applying, qualifications in relation to the position, and intentions and visions for the position are stated)
  • Current CV (including personal data)
  • Copy of relevant diplomas (Master of Science and, if any, PhD - both in English)
  • Scientific qualifications. You may attach up to 5 publications (optional)
  • Dissemination qualifications, including participation on committees or boards, participation in organisations and the like (optional)
Qualifications

The successful candidate will have a PhD degree in the field of the Built Environment, familiarity with laboratory instruments used for measurements of ventilation parameters, and a good understanding of laboratory safety protocols.
