The Department of Chemistry at Aarhus University seeks a highly skilled researcher to lead and develop research and teaching activities within the field of spectroscopy at surfaces and interfaces of biological systems. The ideal candidate will have extensive research experience involving femtosecond time-resolved laser spectroscopy for studying structure and dynamics of molecules at surfaces and interfaces in biological- and other natural systems.

To qualify for the position, applicants must demonstrate a track record of excellent high-impact research, documented through articles in peer-reviewed international journals. They should be able to build and lead an independent research group in Aarhus and conduct an active internationally recognized research program.

Key responsibilities include publishing at an internationally high level, attracting substantial research funding from diverse sources, and supervising and advising individuals ranging from undergraduate students to postdoctoral associates and faculty colleagues. Collaboration with other groups at the Department of Chemistry is expected, as well as interdisciplinary research and collaboration with external organizations.
