About the Job

Vattenfall A/S is seeking a skilled Server Engineer to join our Digital Engineering team. As a Server Engineer, you will play a critical role in supporting our operational fleet and ensuring the safe and competitive operation of all Vattenfall Wind Power wind farms.

Key Responsibilities
  • Configure and test virtual and physical server and storage platforms
  • Manage backup of infrastructure across a distributed geographical environment
  • Maintain, upgrade, and implement improvements to VMware vCenter and ESXi infrastructure
  • Perform upgrades to operating systems and software packages as necessary
  • Create and maintain system documentation for updates made to the infrastructure
  • Participate in server design and implementations of selected solutions
Requirements
  • Experience with Windows and Linux operating systems
  • Experience with administration of VMware in a stretched cluster environment
  • Experience with administration of storage systems in a clustered environment
  • Preferably experience in administration of VDI Horizon environments
  • Experience with administration of endpoint protection
  • Experience in monitoring and logging systems (such as Splunk, Solarwinds etc)
  • Knowledge of Windows infrastructure technologies (AD, DNS, WSUS, Certificates)
