Transforming the Seafood Industry with Innovative Technologies

The DTU National Food Institute is seeking a highly motivated PhD scholar to contribute to the advancement of marine foods and ingredients. The successful candidate will focus on identifying new marine resources, assessing their techno-functional properties and nutritional components, and developing sustainable food products through innovative process technologies.

  • The project aims to rethink the perception of marine foods in Denmark by incorporating plant-based elements into seafood and optimizing raw material processing for a healthy and sustainable diet.

You will join two research groups at the DTU National Food Institute, focusing on responsible food production, green processing technologies, and maximizing raw material utilization. The collaborative environment encourages interaction with colleagues from diverse cultural backgrounds, both scientifically and socially.

  • The ideal candidate has a master's degree in food science, food technology, or a similar field, with experience in process technology, analytical techniques, and statistical analysis.
