We are a team of over 100 creative professionals at Playdead, dedicated to crafting innovative experiences. As a Systems Administrator, you will be instrumental in supporting our infrastructure and IT systems in Copenhagen.
You will work closely with our production team, DevOps, and QA teams to ensure seamless development and deployment of our games. This position is based on-site in Copenhagen.
Key responsibilities include:
- Maintaining and growing our infrastructure (workstations/servers, backups, networking, firewalls, monitoring, and VPNs)
- Performing installations, repairs, maintenance, diagnosis, and analysis of desktop-related issues
- Collaborating with vendors to resolve technical queries and requests
- Ensuring hardware, cloud services, licenses, and websites are properly managed
- Strategizing future server and workstation system needs for our next game project
- Safeguarding internal systems, external partnerships, and accounts from security threats
To succeed in this role, you should have:
- Prior experience working with backup systems, version control systems, networking, firewalls, and VPNs
- Familiarity with setting up and running workstations, creating licenses, and onboarding new employees
- Broad knowledge of Windows servers, domain management, and server virtualization
- Strong problem-solving skills and a passion for helping others
- A willingness to collaborate and think creatively to solve complex problems
Our current technology stack includes Windows clients, Windows and Linux servers, Proxmox PVE/Backup server, hardware firewalls, VPN with 2FA, Perforce Helix, and Docker. We are open to exploring new technologies to address emerging challenges.
