The Department of Drug Design and Pharmacology at the University of Copenhagen seeks a highly qualified Associate Professor to contribute to our dynamic academic community.
Job Description- Lead research projects focusing on peptide ligand discovery, biochemical and biophysical characterization of peptides and proteins, and protein folding investigations.
- Develop and conduct research-based teaching, including examination, in relevant fields within the Department's education activities.
- Engage in outreach and/or innovation activities both within the Department and broadly towards academia, the clinic, and industry.
- Attract external funding for research initiatives.
The successful candidate will have a strong scientific track record in bioactive peptides, protein/peptide folding, and design. Experience with biophysical protein characterization and cell-based assays is highly desirable.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct original scientific work at the highest international level.
- Develop and implement high-ambition teaching development programs.
- Lead interdisciplinary research and education efforts.
- Maintain a strong publication record and engage in academic dissemination.
Required Qualifications:
- Ph.D. in a relevant field with a strong focus on peptide and protein medicinal chemistry.
- Demonstrated experience in research leadership, teaching, and outreach.
- A strong track record of attracting external funding and conducting innovative research.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
