This position reports directly to the Head of Ventures. Your role involves executing venture investments on behalf of ABB Electrification, playing a pivotal part in identifying, evaluating, and managing investments in startups that align with ABB's strategic priorities.
You'll contribute to building the next generation of electrification solutions while fostering strong collaboration within ABB and with external partners.
Your Responsibilities- Investment Evaluation and Execution: Negotiate and execute venture investments in technology companies aligned with ABB Electrification's strategic priorities. Evaluate investment proposals and collaborate with relevant businesses to explore interest and strategic fit.
- Portfolio Management: Participate on boards of portfolio companies and guide their growth – including facilitating efficient collaboration with relevant divisions. Ensure the appropriate handling of the valuation of investments over time and quarterly reporting of portfolio companies.
- External Networking: Source deal flow via different channels, e.g., attending events and through VC network.
