The successful candidate will be part of a joint position within the areas of tinnitus research and hearing rehabilitation.
Job OverviewThis 2-year postdoctoral position is an exciting opportunity for a researcher to strengthen the department's expertise in tinnitus research and hearing rehabilitation. The primary focus will be on using neuroimaging and psychoacoustic tests to gain a better understanding of tinnitus mechanisms and explore improved tinnitus treatments.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Conducting clinical studies, with a particular focus on tinnitus mechanisms and interventions.
- Supervising PhD & MSc students, particularly those working in electrophysiology and computational modelling.
- Developing an online tinnitus test battery and database.
- Stratifying tinnitus phenotypes based on hearing abilities and comorbidities.
Requirements: A strong background in hearing science, physiology, audiology or a related field is required, with some experience in at least two of the following areas: hearing evaluation and clinical diagnostic techniques, tinnitus research, clinical and technical audiology, and psychoacoustic and objective measures of hearing function.
