About the Position

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Strategic Financial Partner to join our team at Novo Nordisk. As a key member of our finance team, you will be responsible for providing financial management support to our business area, focusing on inbound materials used in internal manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as a trusted finance business partner to the business area, leveraging your strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Drive the financial management by proactively aligning with line of business on the financial plan, product costing, inventory, raw material consumption, purchase price variance, production variance, scrap, inventory provisions, etc.
  • Ensure financial compliance and house in order by aligning accounting treatment and cost classifications with Global Finance team.
  • Drive continuous improvement of financial and control processes, further strengthening the connection between business plans, activities, and resources to ensure value creation.
  • Be a key player in driving our systems and standards to the next level and setting the scene for further analyses.

Requirements

  • Hold a master's degree in Finance, Economics, or Accounting, coupled with hands-on experience in a comparable role within a large organisation.
  • Demonstrate a strong financial background and a process-oriented mindset with an interest to map, streamline, and optimise processes.
  • Showcase a structured way with a sharp eye for details and thrive in setting direction for finance integration and handling of product costing.
  • Possess solid stakeholder management and collaboration skills, along with good communication and presentation abilities.
  • Display proficiency in both written and spoken English.

About the Department

You will be joining a finance team consisting of 27-30 members, where half of the people are non-Danish coming from 11 different countries. We drive the financial management and investment governance for the SVP area called External Supply in Novo Nordisk.

The department is split into three teams: Business Finance, Investment Management, and Production Finance. This position resides in the latter and is reporting directly to the Director.
