Global Supply Chain Optimization Leader

About the Role

This exciting position offers an opportunity to support the development and implementation of global supply chain management strategies, focusing on areas such as direct, raw and indirect materials, strategic sourcing, risk management, supply base management, supplier quality, sustainability, and integrity. The role involves analyzing supply-related issues to identify effective solutions, consolidating supplier spend across local units in collaboration with Supply Chain Management teams and global category managers, and documenting best practices to establish harmonized business processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supporting the development and implementation of global supply chain management strategies for areas such as direct, raw and indirect materials, strategic sourcing, risk management, supply base management, supplier quality, sustainability, and integrity.
  • Contributing to the development, implementation, and compliance of various SCM and purchasing related processes, procedures, guidelines, KPIs, and training materials, ensuring harmonization across local units.
  • Leading/contributing to cross-functional initiatives for optimizing customer on-time delivery, lead-time, inventory, resource utilization, and forecast accuracy.
  • Analyzing supply-related opportunities or issues to identify best solutions and implementing improvements to ensure effectiveness and efficiency.

Requirements

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in Supply Chain Management or Procurement.
  • Solid understanding of and experience with Motors (ideally Traction motors) is preferred.
  • Experience with Supplier Relationship Management, Strategic Sourcing, Supply Chain Optimization, and Supplier Quality Management.
  • Understanding of Strategy & Strategy Implementation, Supply Chain Sustainability, and Procure-to-Pay process.
  • Proactive and hands-on work-style.
  • Excellent collaboration skills in an international network setting.
  • Good communication and influencing skills.
  • SAP Ariba skills nice to have.
  • Fluent English language skills.
