EMRI A/S is seeking an experienced Hardware Developer to join their product design team.

We develop control and navigation systems for large ships and are leaders in our field. Our systems ensure precise navigation, reducing fuel consumption and emissions.

We are revamping our entire product portfolio and developing the maritime steering control systems of the future. At the same time, we are growing our retrofit business.

This role offers a unique opportunity to shape a changing organization and participate in creating exciting products that will steer the maritime industry towards sustainability.

The successful candidate will be a member of the hardware team, contributing to all phases of development from idea to production.

You will work closely with the Mechanical and Software teams to bring our next-generation Autopilot and steering control system portfolio to market.

Your responsibilities will include designing our new modular hardware platform spanning from display panels to embedded processors and industrial specialized IO modules.

About You

You hold a bachelor's degree or higher in electrical engineering. You can work independently, have a structured approach, and see strength in knowledge sharing.

Key Qualifications:

  • MCU design and board bring up experience (NXP family is a plus).
  • Knowledge of processor architecture, digital circuit design, analogue circuit design, and low-speed communications protocols such as I2C, UART, SPI, CAN-bus.
  • Familiarity with high-speed digital PCB design, impedance-controlled layout for DDR RAM, PCIe, Ethernet, USB, and TMDS is a plus.
  • Experience with display interface design (LCD / TFT) is also a plus.
  • Schematic and Layout expertise in Altium.
  • SMPS design/specification including Power and Thermal management.
  • Electronics hands-on troubleshooting.
  • Design for EMC compatibility.
