Postdoc Opportunity in Marine Hydrodynamics

We are seeking a highly skilled postdoctoral researcher to join our team at Aarhus Universitet. This is an exciting opportunity for an expert in marine hydrodynamic modeling to contribute to the development and improvement of numerical methods for solving differential equations on unstructured computational meshes.
The successful candidate will have expertise in 3D hydrodynamic models and fluid dynamics, as well as experience with numerical methods for solving differential equations on unstructured meshes. They will also have good skills in scientific programming and analysis tools such as C++, Python, R, or MatLab.
The position involves implementing new features and improvements in the hydrodynamic 'in-house' model FlexSem, contributing to improving 3D hydrodynamic-biogeochemical models of the North Sea, Inner Danish waters, and other areas, and collaborating with international partners.
This is a fixed-term full-time position for two years, starting August 15th. We offer a competitive salary between €55,000 - €75,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience. The place of work is Frederiksborgvej 399, Roskilde, Denmark.
Requirements and Qualifications- PhD in oceanography, physics, mathematical engineering, programming, or a similar field.
