Contribute to Sustainable Energy Transition
Do you want to play a key role in driving the wind industry forward, enabling the development of large-scale offshore wind farm projects worldwide? As a Senior Engineer within our Primary Steel Design team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality steelwork packages for Concept Design, Front-End Engineering Design (FEED), and Detailed Designs for offshore wind turbine foundation structures.
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver primary steel design work packages in close collaboration with a multidisciplinary project team, including geotechnical, metocean, secondary steel, finite element, and load specialists.
- Manage works by primary steel project engineers in collaboration with the project management team and other relevant discipline teams to deliver high-quality design and documentation.
- Manage the entire load-structural workflow, ranging from definition of relevant load simulations to integrated aero-hydrodynamic simulations using in-house computation tools.
- Prepare and present design methods, findings, and results at client- and certifying agent meetings during both the design and certification phases.
- Contribute to Ramboll's technical development in the field of primary steel design.
About the Role:
You will be part of our global Offshore Wind Engineering team, working on wind farm developments worldwide. Based in one of our flagship Denmark offices (Esbjerg or Aarhus), you will join an established team of highly talented and engaged engineers at the forefront of innovative and complex steel design techniques for Monopile and Jacket structures.
About You:
We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Engineer with a strong drive to excel in primary steel design. You will have a Master's degree in Civil, Structural, Mechanical, or Wind Engineering, with a focus on design of offshore steel structures or similar areas of study. You will also have a track record and experience within offshore wind, including turbine foundation design, structural statics/dynamics, hydrodynamics, wind loading, and aeroelastic load simulations.
