About the RoleWe are seeking three Product Application Engineers due to reorganization and internal promotions. The primary focus will be on the Exhaust Gas Cleaning system portfolio, with flexibility in working with other products based on the candidate's interest and background.
As our new Product Application Engineer, you will be responsible for conducting technical matches of our product range based on customer expectations and requirements. Your main tasks include:
- System design based on customer-specific requirements to find the best solution for the customer and Alfa Laval.
- To be the go-to specialist for questions related to our product portfolio in general.
- Preparing design calculations, technical specifications, and documentation for local sales offices to finalize quotations.
- Assisting in preparing technical handover material for signed orders towards the internal project execution organization.
- Participating in customer meetings for technical clarifications.
- Supporting the department in other technical matters.
You are a team player who remains calm and balanced when facing challenges. Your colleagues describe you as structured, positive, and passionate. You have a strong learning ability to quickly understand complex information and translate it into easy-to-understand language for people with little or no technical background.
Required Skills and QualificationsWe imagine you come with an educational background in marine engineering or similar, combined with a few years of professional experience from either merchant fleets, yards, or other suppliers from the marine industry. It is preferred that you have an understanding of the engine room layout, exhaust gas system, and/or vessel operation. Additionally, you bring a commercial understanding of maritime systems and a strong ability to match our product portfolio with customer needs.
Speaking and writing English is a prerequisite for this role, as part of a global organization.
Compensation and BenefitsThe estimated salary for this position is around 60,000 - 80,000 EUR per year, depending on location and experience. At Alfa Laval, we value diversity, inclusion, and equity in our recruitment processes. We apply Pymetrics assessments to help us achieve this goal.
