About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Engineer to join our Data Platform Team at the VELUX Group. As a Data Engineer, you will play a key role in designing, building, and maintaining robust data pipelines and infrastructure to support our business goals.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Data Pipeline Development: Design, develop, and optimize ETL/ELT processes for efficient and reliable data flows.
  2. Data Collection and Integration: Collect data from various sources, including databases, APIs, external providers, and streaming platforms for IoT solutions.
  3. Data Quality and Governance: Ensure adherence to data security standards, maintain data integrity and privacy throughout the data ecosystem.
  4. Collaboration and Communication: Partner with data scientists and analysts to provide clean data for analytics and AI, understanding and meeting their data needs.
  5. Infrastructure and Architecture: Design and maintain robust data infrastructure, including databases, data warehouses, and data lakes.
  6. Monitoring and Optimization: Monitor and enhance data pipeline and workflow efficiency, scaling solutions as needed to tackle bottlenecks.
Requirements
  1. Experience: At least 3 years' experience working in data engineering with a solid background in data pipeline development.
  2. Skills: Proficient in data modelling, ETL/ELT processes, and database management. Experience with cloud-based data platforms and services (preferably experience with Azure). Proficient in programming languages like Python and SQL for data processing.
  3. Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  4. Soft Skills: Advanced problem-solving and analytical skills, high level of responsibility for individual work and teamwork, and fluent in English (spoken and written) with solid communication skills.
