Senior Financial Risk Manager

We are seeking an experienced professional to lead our Financial Risk Testing team. As a key member of the Controls Management unit, you will be responsible for implementing and coordinating 1st Line of Defense (LoD) controls testing across the organization.
Your primary focus will be on identifying key controls related to financial risks, developing a robust testing framework, and ensuring the design and operating effectiveness of these controls. You will also collaborate with other risk and control teams to agree on a testing methodology, plan, and schedule.
In this role, you will have approximately 10 employees reporting directly to you. You will work closely with senior stakeholders, regulators, and peers to ensure effective collaboration and communication.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive testing strategy for key controls related to financial risks.
- Collaborate with risk and control teams to identify and remediate control gaps in existing testing operations.
- Foster strong relationships with senior stakeholders, regulators, and peers to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
- Lead a team of 10 employees, providing guidance and support to ensure the successful execution of testing activities.
- Drive the automation of testing and assurance activities, as well as reporting, working closely with the Data and Reporting & Insights team experts.
- Cross-train and upskill team members to ensure business continuity and efficient knowledge transfer.
