The University of Copenhagen's Center for Volatile Interactions invites applications for a postdoctoral position in the field of marine VOC studies. As a postdoc, you will join our research group and contribute to ongoing projects related to VOC production and emission in marine environments.
Our research focuses on understanding the complex interactions between marine microorganisms and their volatile organic compounds. You will be responsible for investigating the role of bacterioplankton and phytoplankton interactions in shaping VOC profiles in marine ecosystems. This will involve designing and conducting experiments, collecting and analyzing data, and collaborating with colleagues to advance our understanding of these complex systems.
We are looking for an ambitious and highly motivated candidate with a PhD in marine microbial ecology or a related field. Fluency in English is required, as well as excellent writing skills demonstrated by a strong publication record. Experience with molecular community analyses, aquatic microbial ecology, and cultivation of bacteria and phytoplankton is highly desirable.
