Copenhagen, Copenhagen, Denmark Københavns Universitet (KU) Full time

At Københavns Universitet (KU), we are seeking a Postdoctoral Researcher to join our team in the Department of Food and Resource Economics. The successful candidate will work on the research project, Urban Frontiers, which is part of a larger initiative directed by Professor Christian Lund.

The project focuses on investigating how land is accessed, coded, and controlled in urban peripheries. This involves conducting a series of extended case studies of concrete social struggles in Africa, Asia, and Latin America. The researcher will be responsible for proposing a country and an urban research site, describing how the research priorities of the programme will be relevantly addressed in the project, and conducting significant fieldwork.

We are looking for candidates with a PhD degree within the fields of anthropology, development studies, economics, geography, political science, sociology, or similar. Relevant qualifications include professional experience with qualitative research methods, familiarity with quantitative research methods, a curious and collaborative mind-set, a strong interest in dynamics of social change, knowledge of the proposed country, and relevant language capabilities.

The successful candidate will work within the Global Development Section in the Department for Food and Resource Economics at the University of Copenhagen. We offer a dynamic and interdisciplinary environment, opportunities for professional growth, and a chance to contribute to cutting-edge research in the field of land governance.
